We are an adventurous family of 3 looking to experience the world in all of its natural wonder. With a specific focus on family travel, we aspire to share this passion for exploration through filmmaking, photography, and storytelling. Adventure starts at home.
Mount Fitzwilliam has two beautiful campsites one at 7km (Strava said 6km?) and a second at a set of lakes at the end. Our original mission was to leave early and do the full trek in one day. Of course, we ended up leaving hours later…
A friend of mine first took me up this trail many years ago and I fell in love with the location. It’s a beautiful sub-alpine meadow with lush forest, towering waterfalls, and utter tranquillity.
I decided to head straight past the Cassiar turn off to Watson Lake so I could stock up on groceries. After a grocery stop, we wandered around the famous “Signpost Forest.” Gaia enjoyed playing on the historic machines as much as wandering through the various thousands of signs from all over the world.
It’s finally starting to warm up and it’s amazing. I’m starting to see people wandering everywhere, and it has me thinking about our summer plans, which inspired this post. Venturing into the woods can seem quite intimidating with children…
